Hanbok Wedding Photos for a Canadian–Brazilian Couple

An early-morning Gyeongbokgung session created for wedding invitations and a personal editorial.

A Korean-Canadian bride-to-be and her Brazilian partner wanted hanbok photographs for their wedding invitation and an editorial they could keep after the ceremony.

Why we started at 9 a.m.

Time makes a visible difference at Gyeongbokgung. Starting early does not make the palace empty, but it gives us more freedom to use architectural lines, seasonal flowers, and calmer backgrounds before the busiest visitor flow begins.

Direction that supports natural movement

The couple arrived well prepared and moved naturally together. Rather than interrupting that energy, I offered direction only when it improved the line of the hanbok or the relationship between their hands, gaze, and distance.

We adjusted walking direction, changed how they faced each other, and used small prompts that let the images feel personal rather than staged.

The location follows the conditions

Gyeongbokgung can be beautiful for wedding portraits, but it is not automatically the best answer for every hour. Depending on crowds, light, and clothing color, Changdeokgung or Changgyeonggung may be a better choice. The session is planned around the result, not simply the name of the location.

After the session

The photographs were delivered in approximately three to four days. The couple later shared that they used the images for their invitation and celebrated their wedding in Canada.
