A 14-Guest Private Hanbok Photoshoot Across Seoul

How a travel-agency commission was planned across Gyeongbokgung, Bukchon, and Namsan for an Indonesian private group.

A travel-agency representative asked Studio Soondam to photograph a 14-guest private group visiting from Indonesia. The half-day itinerary covered Gyeongbokgung, Bukchon Hanok Village, and Namsan.

Planning four kinds of photographs

The session was divided into VIP, individual, couple, and full-group photographs. Each needed a different background and amount of space, so the plan could not rely on placing all 14 guests in one location and repeating the same composition.

Managing crowds and transitions

At Gyeongbokgung, strong locations are often available only for a short moment. I watched visitor flow, secured cleaner backgrounds for the priority portraits, and moved between groups without leaving long gaps.

In Bukchon, smaller pairs used quiet lanes while the full group used wider viewpoints. At Namsan, the plan shifted to fewer movements and a focused set of group and VIP photographs as the guests reached the final part of the itinerary.

Why large groups need a custom plan

Large international groups require more than camera technique. Communication, timing, walking distance, individual requests, and fatigue all affect the result. A custom inquiry should include the number of guests, requested locations, priority people, and the photographs that must be completed.
